Admissions Process and Requirements

Strict condition: Please note that all admission process and requirements must be completed and full fees paid at least ONE month prior to the course start date. Students requiring visa are required to apply well in advance (at least 8 weeks before start date) to complete the enrolment process, pay their tuition fees in full and obtain their visa at least ONE month prior to their course start date. Failing to meet this condition could invalidate your admission and your place on the course. For additional information, please refer to our terms and conditions on the application form along with refund policy.


The following documents are required to apply for the course

Admissions Requirements Completed Application form signed by the applicant, accepting the terms and conditions (application form available to download)

Passport Copy

2 Colour passport sized Photos (scanned and uploaded with application)

Educational Certificates (in English)

English Qualifications OR if English qualification is not available a placement screening test or interview set by Heathrow Aviation Academy (conducted via our authorised representative or directly by us)

Appropriate tuition fees to be paid as stated on initial offer letter along with any other deposit requirement for accommodation, Travel/Medical Insurance etc.

Admissions Process:

Step 1

In order to make an application for a course, the prospective student is required to complete and submit an application form along with all the supporting documents stated above. This can be sent electronically (Please note all admission process and requirements must be fully complete at least ONE month prior to course start date)

Step 2

Once we have received your application along with all supporting documents, it will be passed on to the admissions department for processing. Where a student does not have English qualification submitted with application a placement test or telephone interview will be arranged and results of such tests added to your application. (If any supporting documents listed above are missing the student will be asked to submit the missing document)

Step 3

Once we have received a complete application and supporting document from the student, the admissions department will assess the application. The assessment will look at the supporting documents and particularly look the time scale needed to complete the application stages, to ensure that the process can be completed ONE month prior to the course start date.( If a students' application is unlikely to complete in the time scale required, then the student may be offered an alternative start date)

Step 4

If the application is successful, the applicant will be sent an initial conditional offer letter via email confirming that the Academy is able to offer the student a place on the chosen course. The letter will also state the various payments that the student is required to make to the Academy at this stage and also the admissions terms and conditions. This will also include information on course fees, accommodation and any other relevant costs. Please note that applicants outside the European Union will require a student Visitor Visa and it is mandatory visa requirement that the student has a visa support letter from us along with Accommodation confirmation letter (Please also note that if a student fails to obtain a student visa or fails to obtain a visa on time to meet the admissions deadlines, these deposits paid are refunded to the student less any administration charges as explained on the initial letter and in accordance with our refund policy)

Step 5

Once the student has met all the requirements and made the appropriate payments and is within the time frame to complete all process and requirements, the academy will issue an Enrolment letter (where applicable a visa support letter in accordance with the visa requirement) The student will then be sent these documents electronically and where applicable via courier.


Once the student receives these documents, the student is required to contact us should there be any changes to their circumstances. Where a visa is required, the applicant is required to apply for a student visa without delay and keep the college updated of the status of application. (The visa application requirements and process are explained separately. Please refer to the guidelines provided and furthermore contact your local Embassy or your representative for further information on preparing for visa application. Please ensure you obtain your visa ONE month prior to course start date)

Step 7

For applicants who does not require a visa: If you live locally, We look forward to welcoming you on the day of the course and full details of how to get to us will be sent on a document along with class schedules and dates. If you are travelling from outside London or outside UK and have requested us to arrange accommodation, we suggest you arrive at least ONE day before the course start date. On the first day you will have an induction and be handed relevant course information and materials.

For International applicants who has applied for a visa: Once you receive your student visa you are required to inform us on you travel dates. As per your application terms, you are required to obtain your visas and complete all admissions formalities ONE month before the start date. You are advised to arrive at least ONE day prior to course start date and NOT to be arriving on a late evening flight if you are arriving on the day before, as you will be required to attend the course induction the very next morning and report to the Academy on arrival in order to complete all registration formalities. You will be given detailed instructions on how to locate us or one of our student welfare officer will meet you at your accommodation and escort you back to the training facilities. We look forward to welcoming you on the first day, where you will have an induction and be handed relevant course information and materials.
