Admission Terms and Refund Policy


Admissions Terms and Regulations:


The information below is a brief overview of our policy, which can be viewed in more detail in the Student hand book. All applicants are expected to agree to the following terms and regulations:


  Admissions Process / Admission Requirements / Course entry requirements / Refund policy:
Applicants are required to refer to our admissions process and meet our admissions requirements and adhere to our refund policy and payment terms if you choose to apply with us. Our policies are available on our website.


  Attendance:
Students must commence their course on the start date and attend classes as listed on their timetables. A medical certificate is required if the student has more than three days of consecutive absence owing to illness. For students who are on a visa, any unauthorized absence will be reported to the concerned authorities. Students on a visa are required to return to their country as soon as the course is completed.


  Books & Stationery:
We provide students, where applicable, with the relevant course materials. Additional reading materials may have to be sourced by the students as needed.


  Teaching Hours:
All students are expected to attend daytime classes during the dates and time specified on the course schedule. The College reserves the right to alter dates due to various factors in order to facilitate or improve the provision of the course. . Any such changes will not affect the College regulations.


  Teaching Methods:
Where applicable, courses will involve theory and practical sessions and students are required to attend all sessions in order to complete the course.


  Assessment:
Students are assessed throughout the course on theory and practical sessions carried out by the instructors and on completion. Students have to complete all sessions in order to receive their award.


  Conduct:
Students are expected to conduct themselves responsibly on the training premises and to strictly abide by the rules and regulations as stipulated on the student hand book. Misconduct may result in suspension / dismissal from the course and where applicable necessary disciplinary action taken against the candidate.


  Maintenance funds and others:
Where applicable, students are required to have sufficient funds to cover for accommodation, transportation, food, maintenance and any other related expenses whilst on the course.


  Disclosure:
Students are required to disclose at the time of application or after they have been admitted to the course, information that may determine their status on the course such as actions that lead to criminal record either past or present, where they may be deemed to be a security risk or any other relevant information that may lead to invalidating your enrolment. If you are unsure whether a certain matter is relevant to be disclosed, we advise that you check with us. Any information not disclosed and later found can lead to appropriate action being taken.


  Cancellation of course or change of course start date by Heathrow Aviation Academy:
The Academy reserves the right to cancel the course or change dates as appropriate at any time. Under these circumstances applicants will be offered a full refund or an alternative start date as per our refund policy.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT

1) Applicants are required to refer to our admissions process and meet our admissions requirements and adhere to our refund policy and payment terms if you choose to apply with us. Our policies are available on our website.

2) Students must commence their course on the start date and attend classes as listed on their timetables. For students who are on a visa, any unauthorized absence to obtain vi be reported to the concerned authorities.  Students on a visa are required to return to their country as soon as the course is completed.

3)  It is the studentsí responsibility to attend the course on the scheduled dates and times specified by Heathrow Aviation Academy. Students who require visa to travel to the UK, is responsible to obtain their visas on time and book flights on time to attend the course on the specified start date. Heathrow Aviation Academy is not responsible if the applicant is unable to obtain visas or secure flights to attend the training.

4) Heathrow Aviation Academy is not responsible if students are unable to attend the course for any reason.

5) The student will be entitled to receive the Award only upon successful completion of all modules and training days.

6) We provide students, where applicable, with the relevant course materials. Additional reading materials may have to be sourced by the students as needed.

The Academy reserves the right to dismiss any student at any time for behaviour which is deemed to be unprofessional, inappropriate or disruptive to other students and also in case of failure to meet academic or financial requirements set by the Academy. No fees will be refundable for any student dismissed under this section.

11) Where applicable, students are required to have sufficient funds to cover for accommodation,  transportation, food, maintenance and any other related expenses whilst on the course.

14) The registration procedures and requirements will be provided by the Academy and the student is responsible to meet the academic and financial requisites to fulfil such requirements and deadlines.

15) All students must participate on a face to face interview or telephone interview with our admission team if required.

16) Student who receives an offer must comply with the requirements specified on the offer letter to fulfil and complete the enrolment.

17) It is the studentís responsibility to ensure that their personal details and contact details held by us are up to-date and accurate at all times.

18) Your application form and all supporting documents will be held on file and remain confidential.

19) A student may defer their course start date to the next available term if they are still overseas awaiting their student visa approval, provided that is mutually agreed between the Academy and the student.

20) The Academy maintains the right to make changes to the timetable, tutors, or venues, without prior notice. Any alterations will not affect your course.

21) At the discretion of the Academy, we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel courses if the Academy deems there to be insufficient enrolments. The student will be offered a refund or an alternative start date.

22) If for reasons outside our control, if a course is cancelled, the student will be offered a refund or alternative start date.

23)The Academy is not liable for loss or damage to student belongings when on the course.

24) An applicantsí place at the Academy will not be held unconditionally without receiving the payment.

25) Certificates: Where a student completes a course and is entitled to a certificate, the Academy reserves the right to withhold the certificate where course fees are still outstanding.

26) Non-Payment of Fees: The Academy maintains the right to terminate a studentís enrolment at any time during the length of the course who has defaulted on agreed payment instalment, where applicable.

27) The course does not guarantee an applicant a job outcome.



Refund Policy


Each scheduled course has limited spaces and fixed applicant numbers and the following rules will apply should the applicant wish to cancel the enrolment and request for a refund after enrolling on the course. All candidates agree to accept the refund policy by applying for the course with us.

 

Cancellation of course after enrolment:

If the applicant cancels the course after enrolment for ANY reason, the applicant is entitled to a refund LESS 50% of the total course fee, provided the cancellation is made in writing strictly 30 DAYS prior to the scheduled course start date. Cancellation made UNDER 30 days to the course start date will NOT be entitled to ANY refund of course fees under any circumstances. This refund policy also applies if the cancellation is made due to the reasons, including but not limited to: change of mind, change of personal circumstances, financial or health related matters, where applicable candidate unable to obtain student visa on time / student visa refused by the embassy / unable to obtain flight/travel tickets on time.

We advise that all applicants who require a study visa to study in the UK, to apply for the course / visa/ flights in advance to avoid losing their course fee.

Deception:

If the applicant or anyone acting on behalf of the applicant has used deception or fraudulent measures to gain enrolment on the course or been refused a study visa (where applicable) consequently, there will be NO entitlement to a refund.

Cancellation of course or change of course start date by Heathrow Aviation Academy: 

Heathrow Aviation Academy reserves the right to cancel the course or change start dates at short notice should it be deemed necessary at ANY time prior to the course start date. Under these circumstances applicants will be entitled to claim a full refund including the course fee, application fee and any other payments received by Heathrow Aviation Academy OR to select an alternative start date that is on offer. Under these circumstances Heathrow Aviation Academy is not liable to compensate the applicant for ANY other costs incurred by the applicant such as visa fees, flights or any other related expenses.
